The full 12 track album LOUIS GASTON is due for release in Autumn 2016
"It's a mellow warm acoustic songbook of many grieves, heartbreaks, and prayers for better days. Written under a sharp and honed pen, the lyrics may be sour, are sometimes dark, but always honest. Louis Gaston uses his warm and thick voice to put his life and dreams into pictures as he delivers stories coming out of a trunk full of nightmares and memories."
The album was produced by ADAM SAMUELS (Daniel Lanois, Brian Blade, John Frisciante, Sophie Hunger). We were fortunate to record the master tracks live with Steve Nistor (Danger Mouse, Gnarls Barkley, Iron & Wine) on drums while Louis Gaston alternately played piano or picked his J-45 Gibson acoustic guitar. We then visited Reyn Ouwehand (Vanessa Paradis, B. Biolay) in his church-studio in the Netherlands where we arranged the colors of the album with his amazing collection of ancient instruments and vintage keyboards. Quentin Durand (John Mitchell Fleet, Tritha) laid his steady bass lines in the mix and the album was recorded, ready to be mixed and mastered by Arnaud Bascuñana in Studio 180 in Paris.
